Finland among the world's Top 20 congress destinations

According to the annual meetings statistics report, published by the Union of International Associations (UIA) in June, Finland ranks 17th in the international comparison of congress countries, the top three countries being the USA, South Korea and Austria. In the comparison of congress cities, Helsinki ranks 20th.

Gáldu Hotel & Spa included in Travel + Leisure's 2026 It List

The "It List" highlights the best new luxury hotels and cruise ships that have made the strongest impression on editors and reporters over the past year. Gáldu is a new boutique hotel with 31 rooms, a top-class restaurant and a serene forest spa. The hotel is located in Saariselkä, Northern Lapland, right on the doorstep of the Urho Kekkonen National Park.

Finland's Aalto Works joins the UNESCO World Heritage List

Finland’s Aalto Works – a series of thirteen architecturally significant sites designed by Alvar, Aino and Elissa Aalto – have been officially inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, marking a major milestone for Finnish cultural heritage and modern architecture. Spanning across the country, the Aalto Works series represents a uniquely human approach to modernism – where architecture is shaped by light, nature, and everyday life. List includes iconic event venues Finlandia Hall and House of Culture.

A boutique hotel to open in the historic Art Nouveau castle

Majvik’s protected Art Nouveau castle located within the hotel grounds will undergo a comprehensive renovation. Upon completion, the castle will reopen as a high-end boutique hotel and banquet restaurant in the capital region. Guests will be welcomed in spring 2027. Castle is part of Majvik Congress Centre which is located by the sea, only 25 kilometres from downtown Helsinki. The venue has great meeting facilities with maximum capacity of 350 and a spa.

Midnight sun water adventures in Rovaniemi

Lapland in summer is unique offering countless ways to enjoy life by the water. Rovaniemi's rivers and lakes are natural playgrounds for river cruises, stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing, swimming and lakeside or floating sauna experiences. 
The Midnight Sun period in Rovaniemi lasts for approximately one month, from 6 June to 7 July. However, the bright summer Nightless Nights continue for much longer, with daylight lasting throughout the night from late May until August.

Refurbished Scandic Laajavuori in Lakeland region

An inviting conference and spa hotel surrounded by majestic scenery, Scandic Laajavuori is just a 5-minute drive from the centre of Jyväskylä in Lakeland region.
