A busy winter season at Lapland airports

During the winter season, there will be scheduled flights to 102 international airports on 163 different routes from Finavia airports. The largest growth will be seen at the tourism-driven Lapland airports, for which 11 new flight connections have been negotiated.
A total of 75 scheduled flight connections will be operated to Lapland airports in Ivalo, Rovaniemi, Kittilä, Kuusamo and Kemi-Tornio during the winter season, including the domestic Helsinki route. The most direct scheduled flights in Lapland are to Rovaniemi (46), Kittilä Airport (15) and Ivalo Airport (9).

New Premium Resort coming to Lapland

Oulu2026 - Explore upcoming events

In just two months’ time, Oulu will be European Capital of Culture, together with 39 partner municipalities across Northern Finland. The programme, created with more than 500 cultural organisations, festivals and creative professionals, will place the North firmly at the centre of Europe’s cultural map. The first WCFS in Europe was a success
